Beñat Olaberria

Beñat Olaberria is a Basque artist living in London whose practice is about form, composition, rhythm and balance. 

Using a range of media, such as pencil, acrylic, dirt, and charcoal, Beñat’s works present incompleteness and are open to multiple interpretations. Each individual viewer can fill the gap between themselves and these paintings. Through reconnecting with his own past, the works offer intimate moments of time and space.

Beñat’s creative process starts with accidental and impulsive pencil drawings which can then be developed into multi layered prints and abstract paintings.
